About the meet:
Directions to Ernst Center, Kenyon College
The Big Little Champs Invitational is a well established invitational in its thirty-fifth year. A one day meet
with split session held annually at Kenyon College, Gambier, Ohio at the Ernst Athletic Center, it features a six
lane pool with Colorado timing system.
Date: Sunday, March 2, 2003.
| *11-12 girls, 13-14 age group and 15-18 age group will swim in the morning session. |
| *8 and under age group and 6 and under age group will swim in the mid-morning session. |
| *8 and under age group will swim in the west pool, will start off the bulk head and stop watch times will be used. |
| *9-10 age group and the 11-12 boys will swim in the afternoon session. |
| *Cut off times have been implemented for the 500 free event, 200 free event and all individual medley events in order to speed up the meet. |
Entry Deadline:all entries must
be received by Friday, February 14, 2003; email or hytek entries are fine.
Entry fees: $3.00 per individual
event and $6.00 per relay. Please make checks payable to Mt. Vernon YMCA

We reserve the right to limit the number of entries to 400.
Times:
1. Both pools open for warm-ups at 7:00am with west pool open until 8:45am.
2. At 7:30am the 500 free starts.
3. Meet starts at 9:00am.
4. Warm-ups for 8 and under will start at 10:00am.
5. Meet for 8 and under swimmers will start around 10:45am.
6. Warm-ups for afternoon session will begin at approximately 1:30pm.
We will notify teams of more exact starting times by email once we have determined
a time line for the meet (after entries have been received.
Awards:
1. Quality awards with everyone going home with a medallion.
2. Participants in individual events will be awarded medals for first through third places and ribbons for fourth
through twelfth place.
3. Relays participants will be awarded medals for first through third place and ribbons for fourth through sixth
place.
4. Individual high point awards will be awarded for each of the five age groups for both the boys and the girls.
5. Team high point trophies will be awarded for each of the five age groups for both the boys and the girls.
6. Team high point trophies will be awarded for first through fourth place.
Rules:
1. Age group determined by age on December 1, 2002.
2. Each swimmer is allowed to swim four individual and two relays events.
3. Swimmers may swim-up but points achieved will not be accumulated for individual high points across age groups.
4. Swimmers must be duly entered in individual events in order to be eligible for relay events.
5. NT (no time) will not be accepted for events with cut off times.
6. Deck entries will only be taken to fill empty lanes. Entry fee for deck entries will be $5.00

Happy Ads
We are really excited about this meet and are putting a lot of effort into providing a quality meet. We are expecting
a good response. Last year we hosted over 550 swimmers.
Parking this year may be a problem since the Kenyon students will still be on campus. Please check the enclosed
map for alternate parking.
