Dear Fellow Officials:
Once again the Mount Vernon YMCA Swim Team has been granted the use of the Kenyon College Swimming facility.
The facility includes a competitive pool plus a warm-up and warm-down pool thus providing one of the best competitive
conditions possible for all the swimmers. In addition this year we have divided the competition into three sessions,
with all 11-12 girls plus 13 and over swimmers, swimming in the morning, and all 8 and under swimmers, swimming
at 10:00 a.m. and all 9 - 10 and 11-12 boys swimming in the afternoon.
Our goal is to make this meet an outstanding opportunity for all the swimmers and their families.
We wish to run the fairest meet possible by involving all the participating teams.
My question is simple. Will you please notify your parents that:
1. We need qualified, certified stroke and turn officials.
2. We are in need of relief timers.
Please have your parents indicate the time they are willing to volunteer plus have your officials indicate whether
they are
willing to start.
Please return the attached sheet by Friday February 8, 2002 with your teams entries so we have a pretty good
idea where we stand with regard to officials and workers so we have a good idea as to how many supplies to order
for the hospitality room.
As an extra incentive, we remind you that we provide one
of the best hospitality rooms around for our volunteers.
Sincerely;
Laurie Finke
