Kenyon College History
From our beloved founder, Bishop Philander Chase, through Paul Newman, and from Kenyon's celebrated participation in the American Civil War, through the tragic Old Kenyon fire of 1949, the history of our College is full, rich, and unique. As the Lady Rosse Historical Society strives to both preserve and celebrate the College's grand tradition, this site will grow, and you will be able to learn more about Kenyon's 175 year history.
