The
Fitzgibbon Survey of Scholarly Images of Latin America compiles the
assessments of scholars of Latin America
about the conditions and qualities of democracy in twenty republics of the
region according to fifteen separate criteria. The survey has been
taken at five-year intervals since 1945. Joseph L. Klesner of Kenyon College now directs the survey.
This
website serves to disseminate analyses of the Fitzgibbon Survey made by
the survey directors since its onset as well as data generated by those
surveys.
