Bruce Robinson grew up on a 300 acre grain and dairy farm near Fredericktown, Ohio. The youngest of seven children he is the only one farming full-time. The Robinsons live a quarter of a mile down the road from where Bruce grew up; Bruce and Vonda are leasing the farm from his parents and will gain ownership once they pass on. Bruce and Vonda play equal roles in managing the farm. They grow hay, corn, alfalfa, and soy beans for their forty Brown Swiss dairy cows and fifteen dairy steer. The Robinson farm is one of only two farms in Knox County that milks Brown Swiss; Bruce enjoys retaining part of his Swiss heritage. Amy and John are involved in 4-H and FFA, as well as, activites at school; they are both thinking of pursuing agricultural related careers. Someone is always surfing the Internet or cooking a tasty treat at the Robinson household. Bruce and Vonda would never dream of living anywhere but the country. Shortly after they were married they spent two months in town and absolutely hated it!
