Gateway Computers

From the Gateway web site:

"All of Gateway's computers introduced and sold after January 1, 1997 are Year 2000 compliant In addition, computers sold prior to 1997 which are based on the Intel® Pentium® or Pentium® Pro processor are also Year 2000 compliant. PCs based on the Intel® i486, i386, i286, or the Intel® OverDrive processors will not automatically transition to the Year 2000. "

If you have a Gateway that is based on the Intel 486, 386, or 286 processor, you need to follow the instructions to reset the clock. The BIOS on older Gateway systems is Y2K compliant. The instructions for resetting the computer's clock can be found here:
