According to Compaq's Y2K information site, most Compaq computers with a 286, 386, or 486 processor are not Y2K compliant, and require an upgrade. Most Compaq computers with a Pentium processor are Y2K compliant. If you purchased your Compaq on or after October 7, 1997, the system is Y2K compliant.
