Glossary of Mystical Terms
Divine Names: Names traditionally ascribed to God, such as "All-Good",
"All-knowing". The names of God, however, are not God, because God is beyond all names (Pseudo-Dionysius).
Supernal Triad: Trinity, i.e., God (an example of a divine name).
Via Negativa: "The Negative Way." The way of union with God
through negating all categories pertaining to God; sometimes called the "way of unknowing".
