1. With your study partner, carefully read the Lurianic meditation in Blumenthal, v. 1, 169-176.

2. Write down which parts of this meditation seem familiar to you from earlier kabbalistic sources, and list those sources (for example, we have seen gematria used in meditation practices from the Sefer Yetsira, early kabbalah, and the Zohar).

3. Write down which parts of this meditation seem specific to the Lurianic kabbalah. What do they contribute to the ongoing process of kabballah?
