Seeing
And we have seen his glory (1:14)
You will see greater things than these. You will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man. (1:50-51)
We speak of what we know and testify to what we have seen (3:11).
He testifies to what he has seen and heard, yet no one accepts his testimony. (3:32).
The Son can do nothing on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing. (5:19)
This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life. (6:40).
His brothers said to him, 'go to Judea so that your disciples also may see the works you are doing. . . show yourself to the world.' (7:3-4)
I came into this world so that those who do not see may see, and those who do see may become blind (9:39).
Hearing
He testifies to what he has seen and heard (3:32).
Anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. Truly, truly, I tell you, the hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. (5: 24-26)
As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just (5:30).
You have never heard his voice nor seen his form (5:38).
Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me (6:45).
When many of his disciples heard it, they said, 'This teaching is difficult; who can accept it?' (6:60)
Simon Peter said, 'LordYou have the words of eternal life'. (6:68).
'I declare to the world that I have heard from him'. They did not understand that he was speaking about the Father. (8:26)
'Why do you not accept what I say? It is because you cannot accept my word. You are of your father the devil. (8:43-44)
Knowing
We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God. (6:69)
If you knew me, you would know my Father also (8:19).
If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. (8:31)
