Read the World Religions Reader article, "The Sacred is the One True Reality of Brahman", pp. 53-55. With your study partner, discuss the major points of this article and compare it to the main points of Eck's "Seeing the Sacred". Then discuss the Mahabharata film excerpts, which provide the setting for the Bhagavad Gita. What's the relationship in Hinduism between the philosophical/ethical dimensions and ritual/material dimensions? Can they be neatly separated? Why or why not?

Write up the results of your discussion in a 1-2 page typed paper. Be sure to make specific references to the articles and films in making your points.
