Kilic-Schubel (BA,
Middle East Technical University, MA, PhD, Ankara University in Turkey)
joined Kenyon College as a visiting professor in 2000. Her area of study
focuses on political culture, state formation and Islam in medieval and
early modern Central Asia. She has published articles on the history
of Central Asia in both English and Turkish in various books and journals,
and is co-editor of a forthcoming book on modern Uzbekistan. She is also
author of a fortcoming book on the history of Central Asia.
