Some information about the ESL teaching program:
APPLICATION FEE
The application fee is $100 USD. It is due at the time of the application
to the program. Along with the non-refundable application fee, candidates
should submit the following documents:
PLACEMENT
We make every effort to place each candidate that is accepted into the
program. Once a candidate is accepted into the program and we secured
a teaching position for them we ask them to pay the Program Fee.
PROGRAM FEE
The Program Fee is $500 USD. It is due at the time when they sign their
employment contract. At this point the candidate is guaranteed a teaching
position. Each teacher is invited to attend the Orientation Session.
ORIENTATION SESSION
The Orientation Session will last for three days. Program Participants
will receive curriculum development training, education assistance training,
and essentials on life in China training. In addition, Program Participants
will have a chance to network with each other and do a little sightseeing.
The Orientation Session will take place in Beijing. Hotel costs, training
materials, and some meals are covered by the China Education Exchange.
The Program Participant may be responsible for covering some of their
meals such as dinner each evening. The China Education Exchange covers
for the most part all of the costs of the Orientation Program.
TEACHER BENEFITS
Program Participants will be assigned a Program Director. The Program
Director will review the employment contract in detail with the Program
Participant. The Employment Contract will cover monthly salary, housing,
meals (if any), educational courses, and airfare.
All Program Participants through the China Education Exchange can expect
the following type of package. Some will contain more and some will contain
less but for the most part they should include the following:
- Monthly Stipend paid the Program Participant in cash and tax-free
- Furnished Housing - it may be a shared apartment or a dormitory room
but it will be clean and appropriate. Some will be accommodated in a
3-star hotel.
- Airfare - roundtrip airfare will be reimbursed at the conclusion of
the contract
- Medical Insurance - provided by the school, but recommend supplemental
coverage from a western company
- Education Courses - Chinese language, arts, cooking, etc are some
of the courses candidates can study
- Academic Credit - we provide Program Participants up to 8 credit units
with permission of the home school
- Program Director - a mentor is assigned to evaluate and monitor the
Program Participants experience
- Network - an extensive network of Program Participants to email or
call with questions
PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE
We will work with all candidates and the schools to obtain a Work Visa
for the candidates. We will present candidates with an Employment Contract
that they must submit with their visa request form in order to gain a
Work Visa. In the event, the candidate cannot obtain a Work Visa they
should notify us immediately and we guide through the process.
ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENTS
Once a Program Participant has been a member of the China Education Exchange
we will work with them to locate positions all around China and even throughout
the world. Candidates can work in a major city for six months or a year
and then move to the countryside for six months or a year. It is up to
them. We will work to make sure the program works well for them.
REFERRAL FEE
We pay all Program Recruiters a referral fee of $50 to $100 USD for each
candidate that is accepted into the Program and reports to their assignment.
Each candidate should notify our Recruitment Consultants that they are
applying on behalf of your referral, and once they report to their job
assignment we will issue a check to you.
We are the only Education Exchange Program that is recognized by the State
Council of China, the highest governmental body in the Mainland. We work
towards letting each Program Participants have a rewarding experience
in China.
