Student activities:
Recall an amusing story from your own childhood when you got into trouble and describe it to your classmates in Chinese.

Discuss in Chinese whether you feel that a person's childhood strongly impacts that person's character as an adult, and why.

Teacher's guide:
Identify new grammatical constructions in the video clip and practice them with the students. Clarify any grammar or vocabulary from the video clip that the students do not understand.

Choose interesting photos of people from magazines and bring them to class. Have students describe the looks and personality of the people in each photograph using new vocabulary and grammar.

Choose a famous person or character and describe that person's appearance and personality. Have the students try to identify the person you are describing.Students can then try to describe a famous person for their classmates,
using the new vocabulary and grammar.
