Final Exam/Project
Your goal is to examine and apply a model that we have not discussed in class. Some reasonable possibilities are analysis of covariance models, logistic regression models, time series models, and nonlinear regression models. Chapters 11-14 and journal articles provide rich sources of information for you to examine. You should thoroughly present the model and compare and contrast the model you select with the regression models that we have discussed in class. In addition, you should apply your model to a real data set. You may not use a data set from the text or one that we have discussed in class. (If you have any trouble finding data, please come see me so that I can help.) Your grade on this project/exam will be based on a class presentation and a written paper. The class presentation will be on Tuesday, December 13 between 1:00 and 3:00. Your presentation should be approximately 10-15 minutes in length. Your written paper is due on or before December 19 at 2:00 pm. Please send me an electronic copy of your paper and give a hard copy of your paper to Sue Theberge in the main office of Searles.
