Traditionally farmers have learned how to farm by growing up or working on a farm. Today many farmers still learn to farm by farm experience. Other farmers learn to farm by studying agriculture in college. At the Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences students learn to use new agricultural technologies on the farm. In the future more of these technologies will be available to farmers. A formal education will be one way to learn how to use these new technologies.
The field of agriculture is growing. People do not neccesarliy need to farm in order to be involved in agriculture. There are many agricultural related careers people can pursue. At the Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences students are not only learning about agriculture, but are studying other agricultural related jobs.
