What follows is a list of all the major pro's and con's for the Bonneville and Glen Canyon dams. Though this list was developed with these two dams specifically in mind, many of the effects hold true for other dams as well. The positive and negative effects are divided into their respective categories: political, economic, biological/ecological, and social/cultural. Effects that could potentially be listed in more than one discipline were placed in the category that we deemed most relevant.
