You may have already seen the outside door of the bell tower. If you've never been there, you can't miss it, as it's the only door at the base of the tower, nestled into a neat little corner facing Middle Path. (Click here to see a picture of the chapel in a new window.)
Of course, whenever there are Pealers in the bell tower, the door is always wide open! We're there every Friday during the academic year (some brave Pealers even put in extra time
outside of the school calendar!) from 4 to 5 p.m., right after classes let out for the weekend. We also play on special occasions, such as Honors Day, graduation, and the annual Advent service.
If you look closely, you can see a white sign tucked behind the door. We often leave it out when we're playing to let people know that anyone is welcome to come up!
Well...what are you waiting for?
Oh, yes, those stairs do look a little frightening, don't they? They're not nearly as bad as they seem from the bottom. The climb is shorter than it appears, as we actually play from a room two stories below the bells themselves.
I'll meet you at the top of the stairs when you make up your mind. Click on the open doorway to continue. (Or click here to continue.)
