______________________________________________

Ksenia stops and talks to boys, thus being late for meeting.
All are overjoyed upon her arrival.

Meeting called to order at 6:15 pm Thursday March 1, 2001

Meeting declared to have no intended purpose.

Notre Dame Competition discussed.
Since it is a mystery competition and the forms appear to be invisible, it is recommended that we avoid the site like the plague.

***Important***
April 6 & 7, 2001 is the next competition. To be held at OSU.
Deadline March 20 something. Must register immediately after break. Naz dancers are strongly encouraged to attend and compete in Newcomer level. Cost for entry is $15.

Housing for OSU discussed. Determined that we will most likely be staying in Columbus.

Taryn flips frantically through Chemistry notebook while ensuring everyone that she intends to choreograph the Co-op number over break.

April 21 & 22, 2001 is the weekend of the infamous DC Inferno Competition.
Also, the same weekend as the Co-op for those involved.

Format of Competitions discussed.

Ksenia makes it very clear that she disapproves of the format of the University of Michigan competition last weekend. "I thought I was going to DIE! But it was fun..."

Taryn again frantically flips through notes.

Weight placement while dancing discussed. In Latin and Rhythm dances weight should be on the toes for both the leader and the follower.

David holds his own discussion in the back corner of the room. He appears quite amused.

Latin vs. Smooth shoes for women discussed. Open toe for Latin, usually acceptable for all dances for beginners. Closed toe used for smooth, very advanced dancers generally.

***IMPORTANT***
Practice times switched back to 9-11 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sundays remain the same as always. Schedule to be: 9-10 instruction, 10-11 dance practice.

Ksenia asks if my name is Pete, but alas it is not.

Taryn flips out about exam.

Newcomer partners discussed. Concluded that they must be decided.

Naz competitors must find own transportation to competitions due to school policy.

Dawn requests fun event...Ballroom movie night. Showing "Tango" or "Strickly Ballroom."

***TONIGHT***
Taryn showing "Center Stage" in Norton 18 (2nd floor) at 10 pm. All invited.

Ksenia sends David to detention, and gives Taryn a pass to go to class.

Club is definitely still on crack.

Diana considers possibility of taking Russian next year.

It is decided that David can not accurately distinguish between T's and M's.

Focus returns to Ksenia.

While the masses swarm around pictures, secretary abandons meeting.

Have a wonderful break!!!
