1. Read the E-res excerpt from Eliade, "The Structure of Myth" and Exodus 2-16, 19-20 on your own.

2. With your partner discuss the following issues:

• What are the relationships between the divine, Moses, Pharaoh, and the Hebrews?
• According to Eliade, all myths are about beginnings. What is this myth the beginning of?
• How does this myth fit with the theories of myth we have discussed so far in Cunningham and Eliade?

3. Write a 1-2 page typed double-spaced paper describing the results of your discussion.
