Information and Resources for Final Project
First choose a topic in Discrete Mathematics, broadly defined. Let me know what topic you choose by Tuesday Nov 16.
You will give a class presentation (about 40 minutes) during the last two class meetings, R Dec 9 and T Dec 14.
The final paper is due by the official final exam date for this course which is 6:30 pm, Tuesday Dec 21. (You can submit it earlier!)
Here are some possible topics to give you an idea but this is not an exhaustive list.
Books
The books in the library about combinatorics-related topics are located in QA164-166. If you need a good book to fill you in on some necessary details, look in the suggested reading list in our text, come talk to me, or browse the stacks. Here are some books that may be useful.
Databases
Use the search engine of MathSciNet to find articles on particular topics, or particular articles referenced in other articles. Also check out the subject of combinatorics under the very helpful Mathematics Subject Classification system organized by the AMS.
