Assignment 3: Study section 1.4 for Monday. We learn about one of the most important properties/axioms of Real Numbers: The Least Upper Bound Axiom. This is what distinguishes R from Q.


Assignment 2: Write up 3,5,8 and 10 to turn in on Monday, 9/3.   Work on the others to present in class on Friday, 8/30.


Assignment 1: Get a copy of the textbook from the book store (if you haven't done so already). Read Chapter 0 and Sections 1.1 and 1.2 by Wednesday. Write up problems 2, 3 and 5 to turn in on Friday.
Be prepared to discuss the rest of the problems in 1.2 in class on Wednesday.
