1. Read the two course reserve assignment (Tillich, Systematic Theology, E-Res, Barth in Van Voorst, 285-6). Write a two-page essay based on the following questions:

How do Barth and Tillich understand and define revelation? How is revelation validated? Is revelation still going on today? Would the following "count" as revelation for either of them:
a) Hildegard's vision of the Trinity (visual medium)
b) The feelings of divine inspiration experienced by some Christians during worship or prayer
