Homework 11
Book Exercises:
7.6, 7.14, 7.20, 7.29, 7.40, 7.42, 7.44
- For 7.6, find the p-value by using Table D (inside back cover of your textbook). Keep in mind that when
you're using this table, you can typically only give an interval in which the p-value lies.
- Use Minitab to get the summary statistics needed in problem 7.20. Then find the confidence interval both
by hand and using Minitab. Remember, the data sets that you see displayed in your textbook can be found online
in the folder P:\Data\MATH\StatM&M4.
- For 7.40, use Minitab to get the summary statistics, then conduct the test. Use Table D to find the p-value.
- For 7.42, use Minitab to conduct the tests and form your confidence interval.
- To find the difference between two columns, row by row, in Minitab, use CALC > CALCULATOR, and remember
to store the result in a new column.
